STORY
In the village of Agua Dulce, on the western border of the mountainous and remote Huehuetenango region, Patricia lives with her mother Auri and her 8-year-old daughter Iza in their simple but charming house overlooking their drying patios. It was following the death of her father 16 years ago that she took over the family farm, becoming the first woman farm owner (and the first to learn to drive!) in her village. She grows Bourbon, Caturra, Maragogype and Geisha varieties in the shade of several fruit trees: lemon, orange, banana and apricot trees. This year's beautiful lot comes to us from the highest point of her land and is made up of Bourbon and Caturra varieties.
