La ferme Finca Pampojila est audité chaque année selon des normes rigoureuses pour continuer d’être certifiées par Rainforest Alliance, pour la pratique d’une culture durable aux objectifs environnementaux, économique et aux préoccupations sociales. De plus, une partie des terres de Pampojila ont été déclarées faire partie de l’Association des réserves naturelles privées du Guatemala, afin de préserver la faune unique de la région.

STORY

Finca Pampojila, owned by the Herrera family, is located in the beautiful mountains south-side of Lake Atitlan and has been well-known for high-quality coffees distinguished by its quality and rich volcanic soil since 1850. Atitlan’s soil is the richest in organic matter. Ninety percent of Traditional Atitlan is cultivated along the slopes of the three volcanoes that dominate the shores of Lake Atitlan where the south wind almost daily brings a moist cloud covering, providing natural afternoon shade to the coffee trees.
