Cafetière à piston

"The French press, or Bodum, is one of the easiest and most popular brewers on the market. The metal filter lets the finest particles and some of the oils pass through, producing a cup with a full, rich body, but it is often a little less nuanced than coffee brewed with a paper filter. Here is our favourite recipe, which requires patience, but which will provide you with a clean cup and a syrupy body in return."

Before you start

Preparation

STEP N°1

Fill the kettle with fresh filtered water and bring to a boil.

STEP N°2

Fill the brewer with boiling water to warm it up. Return the water to a boil. Meanwhile, grind 50g of coffee.

STEP N°3
Once the water has reached the boiling point, wait 20 seconds. Meanwhile, discard the water and place the ground coffee in the brewer. Tare the scale to zero.
STEP N°4

Start the timer and pour 700g of water over the grounds.

STEP N°5

Stir with a spoon so that all the coffee is saturated.

STEP N°6

At 4 minutes, stir again and remove all the foam and ground coffee floating on top of the liquid. Wait another 4 minutes for the suspended sediments to settle to the bottom.

STEP N°7

When the timer reaches 8 minutes, press the plunger down slowly and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Now all you need is coffee!
