The opening of the very first Café Saint-Henri
January 1, 11:11 a.m. Just 10 years ago, Jean-François Leduc opened the doors of Café Saint-Henri in the homonymous neighborhood for its official opening day.
After 9 months of work, JF is preparing to serve the first Quebec specialty coffees to a new clientele. Selling bags of coffee tracing the origins of the product with the names of the farmers was also unprecedented.
That day, a continuous stream of friends, relatives, and former colleagues came to encourage him. The locals, curious to discover their new neighborhood café, were also there. JF remembers a perfect day, a relaxed atmosphere, a great team and a real enthusiasm for this new place and its offer. An offer and a mission that have remained the same since our beginnings: to help you discover and appreciate coffees of exceptional quality, purchased directly from coffee growers according to rigorous criteria of traceability and fairness.
Here we are now 10 years later with 8 cafés, 70 employees and a new leadership team with great projects for Café Saint-Henri. What a journey we’ve come since the opening of our little neighborhood café on January 1, 2011, at 11:11 a.m.!

Selling bags of coffee tracing the product's origins with the farmers' names was also quite innovative. That day, a great crowd of friends, family, and former colleagues dropped by to encourage him. Saint-Henri locals, curious to discover their new neighborhood café, were also part of the event. JF remembers a perfect day, a friendly atmosphere, a great team and a real enthusiasm for this new place and its offer.
