Villa Moreno, located in northern Nariño and part of the municipality of Buesaco, brings together several hamlets including Meneses, Quitupamba, La Esperanza, and El Cortijo. Perched at over 2,000 meters above sea level, the region long focused on corn cultivation before producers recently turned to coffee, seen as a more profitable crop, a transition that required adaptation to a production they were still learning to master locally. With rich volcanic soils, abundant water, and fertile land, Villa Moreno offers an ideal terroir for producing high-quality coffees. The altitude, ranging from 1,200 to 2,400 meters, combined with a temperate climate, allows for the development of healthy, dense, and aromatic beans. Coffees from this area come from carefully selected micro-lots sourced from small producers, particularly in Quitupamba, where families such as those of Sandra Urresti, Olivio Cantuca, and María Luisa Delgado continue to uphold this craftsmanship.

Nariño, located in the Andes Mountains, is a mountainous department with highly diverse landscapes ranging from Andean plateaus to tropical forests and Pacific coastlines. Its volcanic soils rich in minerals, nourished by the Galeras Volcano, support the production of coffee of exceptional quality. Today, coffee from Nariño stands as both a pillar of the local economy and a major ambassador of the global reputation of Colombia coffee, symbolizing excellence and craftsmanship.

This blend comes from a carefully hand-selected harvest, keeping only the ripe cherries. After flotation to isolate the densest beans, they undergo natural oxidation for 1 to 5 days before pulping. Fermentation takes place under clean and controlled conditions, ensuring consistency and quality. Drying is done using solar energy and typically lasts 8 to 12 days depending on the climate, producing perfectly processed beans with balanced aromas.
