Aeropress

The Aeropress is a simple and particularly forgiving method for making a great, full-bodied cup of coffee. Thanks to its compact size, it is the ideal brewer to bring in your backpack for a camping trip or to the office. There are a multitude of ways to brew with an Aeropress, and here is our favourite!

Before you start

Preparation

STEP N°1
Fill the kettle with fresh filtered water and bring to a boil.
STEP N°2

Insert the paper filter into the filter holder. For this recipe, we use the reverse method. The plunger part of the brewer should be on the bottom and the brewing chamber on top. Fill with hot water and screw the filter holder on top. Bring the water back to a boil.

STEP N°3

While the brewer is warming up, weigh and grind 15g of coffee.

STEP N°4

Turn the Aeropress upside down over the cup and push the plunger to rinse the filter.

STEP N°5

Once the water is boiling, wait 30 seconds. Return the Aeropress to the inverted position, but this time on a scale. Place the ground coffee in the brewing chamber and tare the scale to zero.

STEP N°6

Start the timer and pour 200g of water over the coffee. Stir well with a spoon to saturate the coffee grounds and place the filter on top.

STEP N°7

After 1 minute, 30 seconds, turn the brewer upside down over the cup and push slowly for 30 seconds. Enjoy!

STEP N°8

Stir and Savor!

Now all you need is coffee!
